Job summary

UP Health System - Portage, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Wound Care Clinic on a full-time basis. The role supports patient care in a clinic setting, with a Monday-Friday day shift and 80 hours per pay period.

Ideal candidates will hold a Michigan LPN license, have completed an LPN/LVN program, and possess Basic Life Support certification. influenza vaccination or declination is required.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan LPN license required.
• Graduation from an LPN or LVN program.
• Basic Life Support certification is required (available upon hire).
• Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and documents patient intake data. Maintains accurate and complete patient records.
• Provides patient support that reflects considerations for emotional, physical, social, cultural, religious and economic influences.
• Assists with routine clinic support activities.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Maintains appropriate, safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy.
• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
