Job summary

Union Church seeks a Technical Director to lead all technical aspects for worship and community engagement in a full-time role in the United States. You will oversee live streaming, video and audio systems, and broadcast operations while guiding a team of staff and volunteers.

You will manage ProPresenter and Resolume workflows, coordinate with the production team, and plan upgrades to improve online and on-site experiences. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in a church AV setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in lighting design.
• Experience training volunteers and creating volunteer-friendly systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a church setting with live streaming and broadcast audio.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Media Production, or related field.
• Strong leadership and communication to train, manage, and inspire volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee live streaming operations and broadcast audio quality.
• Manage video/audio systems, ProPresenter and Resolume during services.
• Lead technical projects to upgrade streaming and AV capabilities.
• Maintain IT and AVL operations day-to-day and strategic planning.
• Train and manage technical staff and volunteers.
• Procure and maintain equipment, manage inventory and purchases.
