Job summary

Arise Church Denver is seeking a Worship Pastor to lead and grow our Worship Ministry, shaping Sunday services and a culture of passionate worship. You will collaborate with the Lead Pastor, recruit volunteers, coach musicians, and oversee production, budgets, and background checks.

You will shepherd the congregation, serve in planning big days, and be available Sundays for direction, prayer, and counsel, aligning with our mission to glorify God and welcome the unchurched.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent completed.
• Biblical knowledge essential.
• Strong vocal and music coaching abilities.

• Commitment to spiritual development and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Worship Ministry of Arise Church.

• Recruit, train, and motivate volunteers to lead worship.
• Run rehearsals and coach musicians.
• Plan and manage weekly services and special events.
• Oversee production of Sunday service and online streams.
• Prepare for Communion Sundays.
• Champion the Worship Ministry and its core value of passionate worship.
• Oversee budgets and background checks for volunteers.
• Keep equipment organized and manage WM calendar.
• Shepherd the flock and assist with shepherding duties.
• Be available on Sundays to direct, pray, and counsel.

About the Worship Pastor

Positional Expectations: The Worship Pastor leads and directs the Worship Ministry of Arise Church Denver. The Worship Pastor creates Sunday services and a culture that welcomes the unchurched while leading the church into passionate worship as we follow Jesus together.

The Why: We are created to glorify God, so the Worship Pastor creates a culture that leads people to encounter God and passionately worship him.

*At Arise, we license people to be pastors if they meet certain criteria. We would be open to hiring a pastoral-level or a directorial-level staff person. Both levels are open to men and women.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Direct the Worship Ministry (WM) of Arise Church
• Coordinate with the Lead Pastor (LP) to craft engaging Sunday morning experiences
• Actively recruit, train, and motivate a volunteer team to passionately lead our congregation into worship in fresh and creative ways
• Run rehearsals and coach musicians
• Lead, plan, and manage the weekly worship services, special events, and “big days” (Easter, Christmas, Every Nation Sunday)
• Oversee the Production of the Sunday morning service, online stream, and other events at Arise
• Prepare for Communion Sundays
• Champion the WM and our Core Value of Passionate Worship
• Manage the WM of Arise Church
• Oversee budgets
• Ensure all necessary background checks are performed for volunteers
• Keep WM equipment organized
• Manage the WM calendar in relation to the entire church’s calendar
• Shepherd the flock as a pastor
• Come alongside the LP and the Associate Pastor to assist with shepherding responsibilities (counseling, visitation, funerals, etc.)
• Make yourself available on Sundays to direct people, answer questions, pray, and counsel people
• Be a "gas pedal" to the LP’s vision–making ideas into reality through execution and management
• Be a team player
• Jump in to help with all-hands-on-deck events (Christmas Eve, Easter, Kids Camp, etc.)
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the LP

Salary and Benefits

$75,000‑100,000 cash salary per year (depending on experience), plus benefits.
