Responsibilities

• Create a blended Sunday worship service incorporating traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music.
• Select music aligning with sermon themes, liturgical seasons and congregational identity.
• Serve as pianist for worship services; proficient as pianist and ensemble director.
• Direct and rehearse the choir, praise band, or other ensembles.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of traditional hymnody and contemporary worship music.
• Utilize multiple forms of sheet music including choral scores, lead sheets, and classical instrumental arrangements.
• Attend church staff meetings and Worship & Music Committee meetings.
• Provide clear rehearsal schedules, worship plans, and expectations for musicians.
