Job summary

Catholic Diocese of Dallas is seeking a Liturgical Coordinator to assist in preparing worship spaces for parish liturgical celebrations, including funerals and special events. The role coordinates volunteers across ministries, plans environments, and collaborates with the Music Ministry and pastoral staff to ensure reverent liturgies.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and understanding of the Sacrosanctum Concilium.
• Ability to manage multiple liturgical celebrations and set priorities.
• Work professionally with ministries and parishioners.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Bilingual preferred, not required.
• Active member of the Catholic Church.
• Occasional weekend or evening availability.
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversees funeral arrangements (family, space, celebrant, reception and others).
• Ordering of liturgical and funeral supplies.
• Care for liturgical vessels and maintenance of vestments.
• Upkeep of liturgical linens and sacristies.
• Coordinating Floral Arrangements and special liturgical celebrations.
• Oversees volunteers for multiple ministries (Candle, Linen, Shawl, etc.).
• Coordinates with Music Ministry and interment services planning.
• Plans liturgical feasts, seasons, env, rituals and rehearsals.
• Develops presider scripts and worship aids; administers worship budget.
