West Columbia First Baptist Church, operating as River District Church is seeking a Christ-centered, relational Worship Leader to guide our congregation in authentic, Spirit-led worship. This part-time role (15–20 hours/week) is ideal for someone who loves leading God’s people in praise and is committed to growing in their faith and ministry calling.

About the Role

You will provide leadership, vision, and coordination for all worship music ministries, working closely with the Lead Pastor to create meaningful and well-planned Sunday services. You’ll lead rehearsals, mentor volunteers, and help shape worship experiences that align with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the worship ministry in alignment with River District Church’s mission
• Plan Sunday worship services with the Lead Pastor
• Lead worship vocally and oversee musicians & vocalists
• Prepare and lead weekly rehearsals
• Assist with worship for special events (as available)
• Manage the worship ministry budget
• Participate in staff meetings or weekly check-ins with the Lead Pastor

Qualifications

• Growing, mature follower of Jesus; born‑again Christian
• Meets biblical qualifications for church leadership (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1; 1 Peter 5)
• Supports River District Church’s doctrine, vision, and values
• Relational leadership style with a joyful, team‑oriented spirit
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficient vocal worship leader; contemporary worship experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; continued education preferred
