Westwood Community Church is seeking a Worship Experience Pastor to lead planning, creative direction, and worship gatherings across campuses, including the Chanhassen broadcast campus. This role partners with the Senior Pastor, Worship Leaders, and other teams to shape Sunday services, set musical direction, and nurture talent so experiences are inspiring and mission-driven.

• Develop worship volunteers and mentor team members.
• Drive online worship improvements and digital engagement.

Ministry Area Purpose:

The Worship Experience Team stewards moments of Spirit-led creativity that inspire people to know God and share Jesus.

Role:

The Worship Experience Pastor will serve as a visionary, collaborative team leader, planner and creative architect of worship gatherings at Westwood. This role will help shape Sunday services and key ministry events through close partnership with the Senior Pastor, Worship Leaders, and other teams. The ideal candidate brings both artistic excellence and spiritual depth—able to align teams, develop talent, and contribute to services that are inspiring, thoughtful, and missionally aligned. This person also serves as the primary worship leader at the Chanhassen broadcast campus, regularly leading worship.

Responsibilities:

• Service Planning & Creative Direction
  • Provide leadership for Sunday services and seasonal events planning (e.g., Christmas, Easter) in collaboration with the Senior Pastor.
  • Oversee the development of set lists and musical direction for all campuses.
  • Be a key voice in the flow and tone of services—guiding transitions, message integration, worship sets, and creative moments
  • Ensure all service elements align with Westwood's vision and values, creating cohesive and meaningful experiences
  • Offer creative leadership that helps Westwood's in-person and online services remain engaging and forward-thinking
• Worship Leadership Development & Campus Partnership
  • Partner with Senior Pastor and Campus Pastors to enhance the overall Sunday worship experience across all locations
  • Collaborate with worship leaders to ensure consistent worship culture and alignment across campuses
  • Serve as the primary worship leader at the Chanhassen broadcast campus, also providing strategic guidance and creative input to other worship leaders.
  • Be a visible and relational presence on Sundays, modeling pastoral and creative leadership through development and support
• Team Development & Online Experience Enhancement
  • Cultivate a vibrant worship culture that reflects Westwood's mission and connects with our diverse audience
  • Provide spiritual and creative leadership development to worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and support teams across all campuses
  • Partner with campus and ministry leaders to recruit, equip, and develop worship volunteers
  • Build infrastructure for training, mentoring, and multiplying worship leaders and teams
  • Re-imagine and enhance the online worship experience, creating innovative approaches to digital engagement and virtual participation
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Someone who lives a life that honors God in heart, actions, and relationships, with the goal of becoming more like Jesus
• Demonstrated experience in worship planning, team leadership, and service design in a multi-campus or large church setting
• Highly skilled vocalist and worship leader, able to lead a multi-site church from the broadcast campus.
• A heart for discipleship and team development, with the ability to pastor and develop creatives
• Proven ability to lead collaboratively across departments and translate vision into experiences
• Experience or vision for digital/online worship experiences and virtual engagement strategies
• Spiritually mature, emotionally intelligent, and grounded in biblical truth
• Comfortable serving in a fast-paced, evolving ministry environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Endorse and support Westwood’s Statement of Faith
• Remain a member in good standing at Westwood Community Church.
