Job summary

Founders Ministries, Inc. is seeking a Worship Director to lead worship and build a music ministry from the ground up. This part-time role requires leadership from an instrument and a vision for a blended set of hymns and contemporary worship.

You will recruit volunteers, coordinate rehearsals, and manage audio/visual needs for Sunday services and mid-week prep, reporting to the Pastor. Compensation ranges with experience and schedule includes some special services.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and biblical leadership (1 Timothy 3).
• Strong vocal ability and ability to lead worship while playing an instrument (guitar or piano).
• Comfortable serving within a Southern Baptist context and in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Responsibilities

• Lead the musical portion of Sunday morning worship.
• Curate a blended setlist integrating hymns with contemporary songs.
• Provide primary instrumental accompaniment (guitar or piano/keyboard).
• Recruit and mentor volunteers to join the worship team.
• Collaborate with the Pastor to develop the ministry.

We are currently seeking a Worship Director who is not only a gifted musician but also a visionary leader.Because we are currently a congregation without any live music, this role offers a unique, “blank canvas” opportunity.
