Job summary

Boise State University’s Department of World Languages seeks a full-time World Languages Resource Center Coordinator to manage lab operations and deliver conversation labs for language students. The role oversees student staff, lab scheduling, and OER materials across 11 languages.

The position supports experiential learning, faculty collaboration, and outreach, with a strong emphasis on language proficiency development and curricular alignment in lower-division and some 300-level courses.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train and supervise student lab assistants and run language conversation labs.
  • Oversee student lab and desk assistants in the computer lab and help with class labs, registrations, and check-out.
  • Support experiential learning and student success by employing students on campus.
  • Recruit and interview bilingual/multilingual student employees via campus channels.
  • Oversee upkeep of OER materials and links in pressbooks in all languages.
  • Coordinate with faculty to meet curricular needs and lab outcomes.
  • Schedule and coordinate conversation labs for all languages.
  • Provide support to World Languages faculty and admin WLRC finances.
  • Oversee department publicity via email, newsletters and social media.
  • Coordinate all World Language events held in the WLRC.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
