Job summary

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) invites applications for Project Manager, MFAH World Faiths Initiative. The role reports to the WFI Co-Directors and supports program development across curatorial, learning, conservation, and external partnerships.

• Ph.D. or M.A. in a humanities or social sciences field with relevant expertise.
• Broad knowledge of world religions and art/cultural history.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Motivated team player with deadline discipline and museum interest.

Responsibilities

• Work with WFI co-directors to implement all aspects of the initiative.
• Bring expertise in religious and cultural studies to the project.
• Coordinate with MFAH staff across curatorial, learning, conservation, publications, and HR.
• Collaborate with universities and faith-based partners for programming.
• Manage interdepartmental coordination, timelines, and deliverables for WFI.
• Collaborate with curators, learning staff, and conservators to integrate religious content inclusively.
• Participate in yearly grant planning and adjust scope and schedule as needed.
