Job summary

Magna International’s Cosma Group is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to oversee production planning, scheduling, and quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will train team members, implement improvements, and ensure safe, efficient operations across three shifts.

The role emphasizes world-class manufacturing practices, cost control, and strong collaboration with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Logistics to meet department and plant goals.

Qualifications

• Must have problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
• Proficient in reading and writing reports and procedures.
• Able to organize and schedule multiple priorities across three shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production to ensure on-time, quality output within budget.
• Provide training and drive process improvements for world-class manufacturing.
• Enforce plant safety rules (OSHA/EPA) and maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics and Management.
• Address personnel issues, hire/train staff, and conduct performance reviews.
• Lead the cross-functional team toward safety, quality and efficiency goals.
