Job summary

AKTRA INC in McLean, VA seeks a Workspace Developer to design, build, and support modern developer workspaces and productivity tools. This role blends software development, automation, developer experience, and endpoint technology to improve onboarding and daily productivity.

You will develop automation with Python and Java, manage containerized environments, configure SCCM/MECM and VDI, and integrate Generative AI into workflows while upholding security and governance requirements.

Qualifications

7+ years of Python and Java development experience.
Experience with containers, CI/CD, and automation.
Experience with SCCM/MECM, VDI, desktop provisioning, or software distribution.
Knowledge of cloud and on‑prem networking and infrastructure.
Understanding of Generative AI and AI/ML integration.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Design and support physical, virtual, cloud, and browser‑based developer workspaces.
Develop automation and developer tools using Python and Java.
Improve developer workflows, CI/CD, software distribution, and environment provisioning.
Build and manage containerized development environments.
Support desktop provisioning and package management using SCCM/MECM, VDI, or similar technologies.
Integrate Generative AI and AI capabilities into developer workflows.
Ensure solutions meet security, audit, risk, and governance requirements.
Promote developer tooling best practices and drive adoption of new technologies.
