Job summary

Troy University is seeking a Student position in the Chemistry and Physics department to support lab operations on the Troy campus. The role focuses on transportation of materials, keeping labs clean, and assisting with tours, demonstrations, and events.

Responsibilities include printing, organizing, and updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all laboratories and helping with CMMS-related tasks to maintain a safe, compliant work environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Troy University student.
• Must have taken Gen Chem I & II (CHM 1142, CHM 1143 and labs).
• Must maintain a high GPA.

  Please note: Student positions are FICA/Medicare tax exempt only if students are enrolled in classes in the semester work is performed. To qualify for the FICA/Medicare tax exemption, you must be enrolled on a half‑time basis for the Fall, Spring, and/or Summer.
