Job summary

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. in Newark, Ohio, seeks a Workplace Support Aide to assist employees with disabilities in retail and warehouse settings.

This full-time role covers 36–40 hours per week and requires a high school diploma, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and ability to pass background and drug screening. Responsibilities include hands-on task support, promoting independence, documenting progress, and collaborating with managers to ensure proper workload coverage and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Pass background check and drug test (THC).
• Experience in retail, production, or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support, task prompting, and guidance to employees with disabilities in retail and warehouse setting.
• Assist employees with job tasks such as sorting, tagging, stocking or production line work as needed to maintain workflow.
• Reinforce job skills taught by Job Coaches to promote independence and confidence.
• Monitor employee progress and communicate updates or concerns to Career Services Specialist and retail staff.
• Collaborate with management and production leads to ensuring employees with disabilities receive appropriate support.
• Support adherence to workplace standards, policies and procedures.
• Report any safety, behavioral, or performance concerns promptly to Supervisory staff.
• Attend meetings and training courses as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

A successful applicant will…..

• Have experience as well as a passion for working with individuals with disabilities
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Have experience in retail, production, or warehouse environments
• Possess a Valid Ohio Drivers License and meet driving standards
• Be able to pass a background check and drug test, which does include THC
