Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist in Maryland to lead safety programs, conduct audits and investigations, and champion a proactive safety culture among associates. You will deliver engaging training and translate safety data into actionable improvements across operations.

Ideal candidates have a background in EHS or a related field, knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
1 year in an EHS-related field or a Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background or 6 months in a safety-related role at Amazon.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel professionally.
Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security/personnel issues.

Responsibilities

Drive safety programs with data-driven strategies and lead audits, investigations and risk assessments.
Deliver safety training that engages associates and promotes proactive safety culture.
