Job summary

Spring Health in Wichita, KS is seeking a Workplace Mental Health Consultant to provide onsite EAP counseling, management consultations, and training to employees and leaders. The role reports to the Spring Health Clinical Manager and focuses on reducing barriers to mental health.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted license in Kansas and have 3+ years post-graduate experience, with independent licensure. SAP, CEAP, and supervisory experience are pluses; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to managers, people teams, and members onsite in Wichita, KS Monday–Thursday and virtually Friday (9:00–5:00).
• Provide management consultation to leaders to enhance wellbeing and workplace effectiveness.
• Conduct assessments to determine Service Agreements and Recovery Plans for referred employees.
• Monitor engagement in the Drug Free Workplace referral process.
• Deliver critical incident response services.
• Conduct trainings and promote Spring Health benefits.
• Develop expert understanding of customer benefits ecosystem and available programs.
• Provide solution-focused mental health counseling and connections to resources.
• Complete internal training and attend Clinical Team meetings.
• Follow policies and maintain confidentiality, compliance, and ethics.
• Assess risk and manage crises with in-the-moment support, triage, and safety planning.
• Identify and solve issues creating barriers to care with leadership support.
• Maintain accurate documentation meeting risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

The Onsite EAP Counselor role is a unique and exciting opportunity to provide EAP counseling, management consultations, program promotion, critical incident response, and training, etc. to employees as well as case manage mandatory Drug Free Workplace referrals and conduct expatriate readiness interviews. You may also provide consultation to HR, program managers, and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues. This role will report to the Spring Health Clinical Manager.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide consultation and support to managers, people teams, and members that enhances employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness onsite in Wichita, KS from Monday through Thursday, and virtually/remotely on Fridays (Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

• Provide management consultation to leaders in order to enhance employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness.

• Conduct assessment to determine Service Agreement and Recovery Plans for referred employees.

• Monitor employees’ engagement in the mandatory Drug Free Workplace referral process.

• Delivery of critical incident response services.

• Conduct trainings and facilitate Spring Health benefit promotion events.

• Develop expert-level understanding of the customer benefit ecosystem and available support programs.

• Provide solution-focused employee mental health counseling, consultation, support, and connection to appropriate resources.

• Complete required internal training and assignments and attend Spring Health Clinical Team meetings.

• Follow Spring Health policies and maintain all confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards.

• Assess for risk and manage member and organizational crises by providing in-the-moment support, triage, safety planning, and follow up.

• Identify and problem-solve issues that create barriers or disruption to care, with support from leadership.

• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of required information that meets risk management and regulatory requirements.

• Other responsibilities as they pertain to the success of this role.

What we expect from you:

• You have an unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in the state of Kansas (Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, etc.). We are not able to accept applications from anyone requiring licensed supervision.

• You have a minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience with at least 1 year experience as an independently licensed clinician.

• Supervisory experience and/or experience working with management and human resource professionals preferred

• Demonstrated SUD experience

• Experience working with diverse populations (bilingual preferred)
