Job summary

Employers Council in Colorado is seeking a part-time Workplace Investigator to examine workplace conduct and climate. You will develop an investigation strategy, interview relevant parties, gather facts, and produce a thorough findings report.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, Bar admission, 2+ years of investigations, and a background in employment law or HR investigations. Spanish fluency and Title IX experience are a plus; remote work opportunities may apply.

Qualifications

• Law degree (JD) from an accredited law school and Bar admission is required.
• 2+ years of experience conducting investigations preferred.
• Background in employment law/employee relations and/or HR investigations preferred.
• California law license, fluency in Spanish and Title IX certification/experience a plus.
• 2+ years of experience practicing as an employment attorney preferred.
• Strong legal writing and analysis skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

• Meet with employer contacts to discuss logistics and background information.
• Gather all relevant facts, documentation, and data relevant to the case.
• Conduct effective investigative interviews and create witness statements.
• Review personnel documents, collect and analyze employee data.
• Prepare report(s) documenting and analyzing evidence, assessing witness credibility, and making factual findings.
• Other duties as assigned.
