Job summary

Workcare in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Athletic Trainer specializing in injury prevention to join the clinical team. You will collaborate with physicians to prevent and manage workplace injuries, provide triage, rehabilitation guidance, and ergonomic assessments.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00am–2:00pm, with a $37–$43 hourly pay range. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in athletic training (or related field), NATABOC certification, CPR, and at least 3 years of athletic training experience, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field required.
• NATABOC Certified in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• At least 3 years' athletic training experience.
• Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health, or ergonomic experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first-aid, education and escalation of care as needed.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with all parties in injury management.
• Support injured employee and monitor medical care; report and document.
• Assist in finding temporarily modified work per physical restrictions.
• Help prevent musculoskeletal injuries through education and program delivery.
• Conduct ergonomic analysis and workstation modification recommendations.
• Provide on-the-job education to optimize body mechanics and posture.
• Help employees improve lifestyle aspects: nutrition, fitness, stress management.
• Address risks to workers' total health to reduce injuries.
• Develop job-specific agility routines for preventative implementation.
• Minimize injury risk through awareness, education, and first-aid.
• Engage with employees at work locations and maintain records.
