Job summary

Amtrak’s Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Workplace Planning & Design Intern in Philadelphia supports space and occupancy planning, design development, and furniture installations across nationwide projects. You will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, CAFM systems, and real estate floor plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Facilities Management or Engineering with interest in workplace strategy, planning, design, capital planning, and construction and project management.
• Must have at least 2 years of undergraduate studies completed or be a junior.
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design development and documentation using AutoCAD.
• Support space planning, floor plan updates, and furniture coordination.
• Coordinate with internal and external architects, engineers, and project managers.
