Job summary

Deutsche Bank seeks a Workout Credit Officer - Vice President to lead credit risk management for distressed clients and oversee a diversified portfolio in New York. You will work with Workout colleagues to analyze transactions from underperforming clients and manage risk across the lending franchise.

You will lead workout strategies, supervise junior officers, and collaborate with risk management, legal, and deal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and transparent reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Moderate experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or related financial industry roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of loan origination and workout processes; CRE experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee distressed assets portfolio, focusing on CRE, high-yield structures and leveraged loans.
• Conduct detailed credit evaluations and monitor borrower financials.
• Design and implement strategies to mitigate risk and maximize recovery.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure policy adherence.
• Work with risk management, legal, and deal teams to execute workout plans.
• Guide junior credit officers on transaction workflows and regulatory changes.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on portfolio performance and risk exposure.
