Deutsche Bank in New York City is seeking a Workout Credit Officer – Vice President to lead credit risk management for distressed clients within the Lending franchise. You will oversee a diversified portfolio, analyze complex transactions, and drive workout strategies in collaboration with Workout teams.

The role emphasizes adherence to credit policies, regulatory compliance, and supporting audits. Mentoring junior officers and coordinating with risk management, legal, and deal teams are key

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Moderate experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or related financial industry roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication and negotiation skills; in-depth knowledge of loan origination and workout processes.
• Experience in commercial real estate or distressed asset classes is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diversified portfolio of distressed assets, focused on commercial real estate, high-yield structures and leveraged loans; conduct detailed credit evaluations and monitor borrower financials.
• Design and implement strategies to mitigate risk and maximize recovery, including debt restructuring, insolvency proceedings, and Chapter 11 exit financing.
• Support internal and external audits, ensure policy adherence, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work with risk management, legal, and deal teams to execute workout plans and present findings to senior management.
• Guide junior credit officers on transaction workflows, policy compliance, and regulatory changes.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on portfolio performance and risk exposure.
