Job summary

DAP, part of RPM International, seeks a Production Work Leader for its Baltimore Plant to assist the shift Production Supervisor in packaging operations. The role supports production goals and requires lifting up to 50 lbs, PPE usage, and strong communication.

2nd shift runs Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM with overtime available. Prior manufacturing leadership and SAP experience are preferred. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Supervisor with assigning daily work and directing team members.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain inventory reporting of material usage and waste; ensure counts are accurate.
• Record downtime and issues; complete paperwork accurately.
• Utilize SAP software for operations.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain a neat, safe area.
• Follow safety rules and assist in other areas as needed.

This position supports the plant's manufacturing operation by assisting the shift Production Supervisor of the packaging area.

Below is the available shift schedule:2nd Shift (Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM)Overtime is available/required. Associates earn double-time pay for all hours worked in excess of 50 hours in your standard work week!

Responsibilities

Assists the Production Supervisor with assigning daily work and directing team membersCommunicates with other departments consistently to ensure efficient workflowAssists in maintaining an accurate inventory by proper reporting of material usage, minimizing waste, reporting any spills, and ensuring all items per case and cases per pallet counts are accurateMaintains production logs to accurately record downtime/issues. Completes all paperwork accuratelyUtilizes SAP softwarePerforms housekeeping duties to ensure a neat and orderly work areaAbides by all departmental and plant safety rulesWorks in other areas as required by business needs

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience in a lead role or similar position directing othersMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand for periods of up to 3 hours at a timeAbility to climb steps/laddersMust wear required PPE at all times throughout the shift (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves)Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with othersPay Rate:$28.36/hr - $29.14/hr
