What We Are Looking For

The Working Foreman A plays a critical leadership role in field operations by supervising crews performing vegetation management, debris removal, and utility line clearing activities. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality work while coordinating daily tasks, monitoring productivity, and supporting team development. The Working Foreman A is a working leader who performs field labor alongside the crew while directing workflow and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

This role does not typically manage formal performance reviews but provides daily direction, oversight, and coaching. Success in the first 12 months includes building a reliable, high‑performing crew, maintaining zero safety violations, meeting production targets, and demonstrating strong communication and problem‑solving skills in dynamic field environments.

What You Will Do

• Lead and supervise field crews performing vegetation management, debris removal, and utility line clearing tasks.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, ensuring crews understand priorities, safety requirements, and production goals.
• Perform field work alongside the crew, operating tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect job sites to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company procedures.
• Communicate with Site Managers and Project Managers regarding progress, challenges, and resource needs.
• Train and mentor crew members on safe work practices, equipment use, and job quality expectations.
• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Document daily work activities, incidents, and production metrics accurately and on time.
• Respond to changing field conditions with urgency, adjusting plans to maintain productivity and safety.
• Represent Ceres Caribe’s mission and values while interacting with team members, partners, and the community.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in vegetation management, utility line clearing, debris removal, or related field operations.
• Proven experience leading or directing field crews in outdoor, labor‑intensive environments.
• Ability to operate chainsaws, chippers, and other vegetation management equipment safely.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazard identification.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and make decisions in the field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Working Foreman, Lead Worker, or similar leadership role.
• Certifications in chainsaw operation, electrical hazard awareness, or vegetation management.
• Experience working in disaster recovery or emergency response environments.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English).
