Job Location: Puerto Rico, PR 00791. Position Type: Full Time Regular. Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly. Job Category: Operational/Non-ERD. Job Title: Working Foreman B. Reports to: General Foreman. Compensation Range: $25–$30 hourly (depending on location, experience, skills and qualifications).

Ceres Caribe is recognized for its rapid disaster recovery including debris removal, demolition and blue roofs. We perform resiliency services including vegetation management and utility line clearing for the Puerto Rican power grid. Ceres Caribe is also nationally recognized for creating natural parks and an aviary center on the island. The company is expanding its efforts to assist in securing the power grid for the island.

What We Are Looking For

The Working Foreman B supports vegetation management and tree‑trimming operations while leading a small crew performing cleanup, chipping and material‑handling tasks. This role requires the ability to work within the minimum approach distance of energized electrical lines and to perform all crew classifications as needed. The Working Foreman B ensures safe work practices, effective equipment use and productive daily operations. This role provides daily direction and oversight but does not manage formal performance reviews. Success in the first 12 months includes maintaining a safe work environment, demonstrating strong technical skills, ensuring consistent crew productivity and supporting high‑quality vegetation management operations across Puerto Rico.

What You Will Do

• Lead and supervise a small crew performing vegetation management, tree trimming support, cleanup and chipping operations.
• Plan daily and weekly crew activities, ensuring safe work practices and efficient workflow.
• Perform duties within the minimum approach distance of energized electrical lines in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist crew members with gear setup, maintenance and preparation for aerial and ground operations.
• Support climbers with gear inspection, setup and aerial work‑related tasks.
• Safely and efficiently operate chainsaws, weed eaters, pole trimmers, blowers and other light equipment.
• Operate chippers, vehicles and aerial lifts/bucket trucks from the ground.
• Maintain basic knowledge of aerial climbing techniques and support climbers as needed.
• Perform all aspects of trailer hauling and towing safely.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices, hazard recognition and industry standards.
• Interact professionally with property owners, customers and team members.
• Work outdoors year‑round in varying environments, including areas with poisonous plants and noxious vegetation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• More than 2 years of experience in the tree care or vegetation management industry.
• Must be a Lift/Equipment Operator A or a Climber A with at least 2 years of experience in that classification.
• Ability to perform all crew member classifications as needed.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to work outdoors year‑round in varying environments.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and follow safe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver License (Class A or B).
• Qualified Applicator License (QAL).
• Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC).
• TRAQ Certification.
• Experience working in vegetation management around energized electrical lines.

What to Expect

This role involves leading a small crew in vegetation management operations, including chipping, cleanup and support for tree‑trimming activities. You can expect hands‑on work in outdoor environments, exposure to energized electrical lines and daily coordination of equipment, tools and crew tasks. Work is physically demanding and performed year‑round in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity and exposure to vegetation and wildlife. Travel across Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra, may be required based on project needs. The Working Foreman B must maintain a strong safety mindset, communicate effectively and support a productive and cohesive crew.

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work outdoors year‑round in varying environments including heat, humidity, rain, uneven terrain and exposure to vegetation, insects and wildlife.
• Willingness to wear PPE including hard hat, protective eyewear, gloves and steel‑toed boots.
• Ability to work around mechanical equipment, elevated spaces and areas with potential electrical hazards.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as required by field tasks.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
