Ducillo Construction is seeking a Working Carpenter Foreman / Lead Carpenter to lead a small crew on high-end custom homes, renovations, and additions in Amenia, NY and nearby projects.

This hands-on leadership role requires running projects from sitework and framing through finish carpentry, coordinating subcontractors, materials, architects, and homeowners to deliver exceptional craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in residential carpentry, including framing and finish work.
• Proven ability to lead a small crew and independently manage daily jobsite operations.
• Strong blueprint-reading, layout, problem-solving, and construction sequencing skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and work alongside a crew of approximately 2-3 carpenters.
• Manage daily jobsite operations, scheduling, quality, safety, and material coordination.
• Perform skilled framing, exterior carpentry, interior trim, and custom finish work.
• Read architectural plans, identify discrepancies, and solve field problems.
• Coordinate subcontractors, including excavation, foundation, plumbing, electrical, and drywall crews.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, architects, designers, and suppliers.
• Guide junior carpenters and maintain high craftsmanship standards.
• Oversee custom residential projects, often ranging from $500K to $3M.

The Opportunity

Ducillo Construction is seeking an experienced Working Carpenter Foreman / Lead Carpenter to lead small crews on high-end custom homes, renovations, and additions.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run a project, work alongside the crew, and deliver exceptional craftsmanship. You'll oversee projects from initial sitework and framing through detailed finish carpentry, while coordinating subcontractors, materials, architects, and homeowners.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Required
• Extensive experience in residential carpentry, including framing and finish work.
• Proven ability to lead a small crew and independently manage daily jobsite operations.
• Strong blueprint-reading, layout, problem-solving, and construction sequencing skills.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and communicate with high-end clients.
• Hands-on leadership style; comfortable working alongside the crew.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preferred
• 10 years of carpentry and jobsite leadership experience.
• Advanced finish carpentry skills, including stairs, detailed trim, custom built-ins, and architectural woodworking.
• Experience managing high-end custom renovations, additions, or whole-house projects.
