Job summary

Texas A&M University–Kingsville is seeking a Workforce Development Program Specialist I to support a range of training initiatives, including skilled trades, energy, and weatherization programs. You will recruit participants, coordinate schedules, and assist with discovery, reporting, and compliance requirements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Javelina Skilled Trades Academy, instructors, and partners to ensure enrollment targets are met while maintaining program quality and timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, industrial technology, workforce development, or related field.
• Experience coordinating technical instruction or workforce training.
• Experience with SharePoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of the Javelina Skilled Trades Academy with planning, coordinating, and delivering workforce training programs.
• Coordinate course schedules, instructor assignments, classroom and laboratory availability.
• Conduct participant orientations for skilled trades, energy, and weatherization training programs.
• Support program testing, credentialing, and completion activities.
• Ensure training activities are delivered according to established schedules and quality standards.
