Job summary

Integrity House in Newark, NJ, is seeking a part-time Workforce Readiness Instructor to deliver training for the Pathways to Recovery program. You will lead cohorts on employability, digital and financial literacy, workplace professionalism, and job-search skills, collaborating with program staff to prepare participants for sustainable employment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of experience, plus a New Jersey driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Workforce Development, Human Services, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate structured workforce readiness cohorts using the Pathways to Recovery curriculum.
  • Deliver instruction on communication, professionalism, teamwork, conflict resolution, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Provide training in digital literacy, financial literacy, job search strategies, and career exploration.
  • Assist participants with resume development, cover letters, employment applications, and interview prep.
  • Conduct mock interviews and provide individualized coaching.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and Employment Specialists to support employment goals.
  • Track attendance, engagement, and participant progress.
  • Document services and participant outcomes in agency systems.
  • Participate in hiring events, outreach activities, and workforce initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, agency standards, and grant requirements.

Education

Integrity House operates 16 licensed treatment programs across New Jersey as well as community outreach and prevention programs, and serves over 3,000 individuals every year.

We are excited to announce our Workforce Readiness Instructor opening in Newark, NJ! The Workforce Readiness Instructor is responsible for delivering structured workforce readiness training to participants enrolled in the Pathways to Recovery Program. The Instructor facilitates workforce development cohorts focused on employability skills, career exploration, digital literacy, financial literacy, workplace professionalism, communication, interview preparation, resume development, and job retention strategies. The Workforce Readiness Instructor works collaboratively with the Program Manager, Employment Specialist, Case Managers, and community partners to prepare participants impacted by substance use disorder and other barriers for successful employment and long-term retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.

Schedule: This is a part-time position. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-5pm
