Job Overview: Stratfield is seeking a Workforce Planning Consultant to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with workforce planning and ideally have experience with distribution and manufacturing facilities. This person will lead and manage workforce planning efforts for their Vertical Business Lines (VBLs).

This is a 10+ month contract position that will be remote with up to 25% travel. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage external workforce solutions for Vertical Business Lines (VBLs).
• Conduct due diligence and classification of external labor.
• Consult with leadership on external workforce options.
• Provide consultation and support for the set-up of new contracts involving external labor.
• Partner with Financial Services, Organizational Planning, Talent Consulting, Procurement, and Legal to ensure optimal workforce utilization.
• Serve as the Talent Planning leader for VBLs, ensuring adherence to program, policy, and governance requirements.
• Develop and maintain continuous improvement processes related to workforce planning.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop short-term and long-term workforce plans for VBLs.
• Partner with distribution center GMs and their leadership to adjust workforce plans throughout the year.
• Prepare, distribute, and provide insights on labor reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proven workforce planning experience with strong understanding of external workforce solutions.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Talent teams.
• Experience in distribution centers and manufacturing facilities highly preferred.
• Senior-level HR consulting experience, equivalent to Senior Manager, Director, or VP of HR, with a workforce planning focus.
