Job summary

The State of Washington is seeking an Employment Specialist 3 (WorkSource Specialist 3) to deliver employment services at the WorkSource Center in Everett, WA. This in-person role is eligible for one day of telework per week after the probationary period and is a project position through June 2028.

Ideal candidates will have experience in workforce development, cross-program coordination, and a customer-centered approach, helping job seekers and employers navigate services across WorkFirst,

Qualifications

• One year as a WorkSource Specialist 2 or equivalent class within the Employment Security Department or another state's Employment Security agency
• Two years of professional experience in workforce development, social or human resource services, public relations, or professional public contact work
• A combination of education and/or relevant experience may be acceptable

Responsibilities

• Provide staff-assisted customer services; conduct group and individual in-depth interviews, registrations, and assess job readiness and barriers; administer skill tests and develop service plans
• Provide information about agency services; direct customers to internal or external resources; ensure continuous engagement
• Provide career guidance and refer customers to job search resources and training providers
