Job summary

Pacelabdc in Los Angeles is seeking a Workforce Development Specialist II to provide information and access to program services for ESE and WIOA customers, under the Sr. Workforce Development Specialist.

The role includes outreach, placing grant customers in volunteer preschool sites, monitoring hours, maintaining records, and collaborating with community colleges and training partners. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have professional experience in social services programs
• Knowledge about Child Development careers, courses and state permit requirements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
• Available to work evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and recruitment to promote program services
• Follow up with customers to determine status with ECE units and goals
• Guide students in applying for state permits for child development
• Contact preschool sites about volunteer openings
• Monitor volunteer hours and collect weekly timesheets
• Maintain customer records and develop reports
