Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking candidates to join a Department focused on workforce development. The role emphasizes teamwork, collaboration with partners, accountability and work-life balance as part of delivering services to empower Missourians with skills and education for success.

The position involves promoting Job Center services, regional outreach, and coordination with stakeholders to deliver re-employment programs, job orders, and candidate referrals.

Responsibilities

• Promote Job Center services opportunities and benefits based on customer needs and eligibility requirements
• Conduct regional outreach activities to locate job seekers and employers
• Coordinate with partners to provide comprehensive services to job seekers and employers
• Provide program-specific services such as Trade Act, Unemployment Insurance, RESEA and other re-employment programs
• Accept and record job orders from employers
• Pre-screen applicants meeting employer order specifications and refer to employers
• May facilitate workshops or other sessions for job seekers
• Assist job seekers in automated job searches
• Classify job orders and applicant qualifications using skill codes
• Inform employers and community organizations of Job Center services; attend job fairs
• Develop job opportunities with employers for qualified job seekers
• Provide basic vocational and career guidance and resume/interview coaching
• Assist applicants in evaluating vocational needs and formulating a plan to achieve outcomes
• Complete apprenticeship program
• Perform other related work as assigned
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
