Overview
The Workforce Development Instructor is responsible for teaching and facilitating curriculum that leads to industry-recognized certifications at Luna Community College. This role is essential for delivering high-quality, market-relevant course offerings to the community.
Compensation and Employment Terms

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, high-impact instruction that prepares students for industry-recognized certifications.
- Ensure all instructional activities are conducted safely and in strict compliance with LCC and industry-specific specialty standards.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Demonstrated expertise and current certification in the relevant subject matter.
- Strong verbal communication and pedagogical skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Education, Experience, And Licenses
- Required Education/Experience: Sufficient expertise and professional experience necessary to instruct the specific course subject.
- Required Certifications: Must hold all necessary credentials required to grant students the eligibility to sit for industry-recognized certification exams.
Employment Terms
- Part-Time Status: This position is limited to 19 hours per week or less for courses exceeding a three-month duration within a calendar year.
- Contractor Status: For short-term courses, the employee will be classified as an independent contractor and issued a 1099.
