Position Summary: Responsible for managing the entire subrogation process, including investigation, negotiation, and settlement of workers' compensation claims with subrogation potential.

Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

  • Subrogation Process: Utilize our proprietary database and electronic documents to process and resolve claims.
  • Subrogation Knowledge: Handle complex workers' compensation subrogation files through experience and education.
  • Documentation: Document all activities, conversations, correspondence, legal considerations, and case updates thoroughly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Work efficiently across multiple computer systems and basic programs like Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Work Ethic: Take ownership, honor commitments, and see tasks through to completion.
  • Remote Work Skills: Demonstrate excellent time management, self-discipline, and organizational skills.
  • Fast-paced Environment: Multi-task effectively and thrive under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and clarity in all documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit strong phone presence and handle difficult conversations with conflict management skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of workers' compensation insurance claims and subrogation experience, including arbitration filings.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Typing speed of 45+ WPM accurately.
  • Basic accounting knowledge for accurate computations.
  • Thorough knowledge of subrogation principles and workers' compensation claims.
  • Reliable home internet bandwidth as determined by Latitude's IT department.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college coursework or degree.
  • Claims system knowledge.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
