Prospect Blue is partnering with a law firm in Fredericksburg, VA to hire a Workers' Compensation Paralegal for a full-time, in-office position. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of workers' compensation experience and will support attorneys with pleadings, discovery, and trial prep.

The role requires strong writing, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a workers' compensation paralegal.
• Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare pleadings for filing.
• Attend telephone conferences and prepare synopsis memoranda.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Draft broker transition documents.
• Organize exhibits, documents, briefs and appendices.
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Redact information from documents.
• Assist in trial preparation by preparing binders, indexing discovery, and preparing trial exhibits.
• Prepare witness preparation binders.
