Role Description The Workers' Compensation Paralegal will support attorneys in managing claimant-side workers’ compensation cases from intake through resolution. This full-time role is based in Alpharetta, GA, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and maintaining case files, communicating with clients, medical providers and insurance representatives, drafting and filing legal documents and correspondence, and tracking deadlines and court dates. Additional tasks include preparing hearing and mediation materials, updating case management systems, and supporting attorneys with settlement preparation and ongoing client communication.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess several years of experience assisting with workers' compensation claims and a solid understanding of workers’ compensation-related benefit structures.
• Candidates should possess skills in claims handling and claims management, including tracking, documenting, and following up on workers’ compensation claims.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with discovery preparation, board forms, insurance processes and terminology relevant to workers’ compensation matters.
• Candidates should possess very strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally with clients and external parties.
• Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience, ideally in workers’ compensation, personal injury, or insurance defense is a must.
• Very strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment is also a must.
• Proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a requirement.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid office/home setting.
• Paralegal certificate or relevant coursework, or equivalent practical experience in a law firm setting.
• Candidates must live in or near the Alpharetta/Cumming/Roswell area.
