Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services seeks a Workers’ Compensation Administrator to oversee and administer workers’ compensation claims. Responsibilities include reviewing actions in IHRPS and Workday, acting as primary contact for staff on compensation matters, and ensuring accurate application of policies within caseload.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field and 1 year of experience required.
• Or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer workers’ compensation claims for assigned facility or program area.
• Provide expert consultation, interpretation, and problem resolution related to workers’ compensation policies and leave options.
• Serve as primary contact for employees and management on workers’ compensation questions, claim status, and benefits.
