Ogletree Deakins’ Cleveland office seeks an experienced workers’ compensation defense attorney to defend claims from inception to final resolution, including administrative hearings, VSSR claims, and appeals. • Juris Doctor; licensed to practice law in Ohio and in good standing.
• 3+ years of Worker’s Compensation defense experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Position Summary

Ogletree’s Cleveland office has an opportunity for an experienced workers’ compensation defense attorney to join the firm’s expanding practice. This role will be responsible for defending claims from inception to final resolution, including administrative hearings, Violation of Specific Safety Requirement ("VSSR") claims, and litigation including appeals. Qualified candidates must be able to serve as lead counsel on multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law in Ohio and in good standing. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
• 3+ years of Worker’s Compensation defense experience is required.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent presentation skills.
