Job summary

The Jonus Group is seeking a seasoned Workers' Compensation Claims professional in the Overland Park area to lead a team of 5-6 claims adjusters, directing investigations, determinations of compensability, and benefits authorization.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years handling workers' compensation/indemnity claims, including litigated files, with strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years handling workers' compensation/indemnity claims for WI.
• Experience handling litigated files is required.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 5-6 workers' compensation claims adjusters, helping to renew new claims, gathering information, and determining compensability.
• Conduct thorough investigations into workplace injuries, including obtaining medical records and witness statements.
• Calculate and authorize indemnity benefits, including temporary total disability, permanent partial disability, and vocational rehabilitation benefits.
• Ensure compliance with state workers' compensation laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documenting all relevant information, communications, and decisions
