our client has an immediate opening for an associate with 2+ years' experience in Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability. Qualified candidates must be barred in MD and PA. Candidates admitted to other jurisdictions such as DE, DC, VA, and WV are also encouraged to apply. We are looking for professionals with experience in insurance defense, workers' compensation, and/or personal injury.

Our client offer a flexible work environment with options for hybrid and remote work. This position will require commuting to our Baltimore office 3 days per week. Attorneys will be provided with personal laptops and work within a paperless office environment.

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Maryland and Pennsylvania
• 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense law
• Strong understanding of MD and PA workers' compensation laws and regulations
• Experience with employer liability claims is a plus
• Licensure in other jurisdictions is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation and related legal matters
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs
• Appear for court proceedings, hearings, and depositions as needed
• Maintain strong communication with clients and collaborate with colleagues
• Meet deadlines, manage multiple cases, and ensure timely and efficient case handling
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail
