Job Description

Vecchione, Vecchione & Cano, LLP, is looking for a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our dynamic and growing practice. The Attorney will be required to handle both hearings and depositions. Experienced preferred.

The ideal candidate is an initiative-taker with good analytical skills and will actively participate in all aspects of workers' compensation cases from start to finish and make virtual and/or in-person appearances before the Workers' Compensation Board.

Responsibilities:

  1. Day-to-day handling of cases and depositions.
  2. Dictating and/or drafting correspondences to clients keeping them apprised of hearings and deposition results.
  3. Interactions with witnesses to include telephone conferences.
  4. Guiding clients, when necessary, through the Workers' Compensation process.

Qualifications:

  1. Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
  2. An active member in good standing with the New York State Bar Association. Pending admission to NYS Bar Association is acceptable.
  3. Workers' Compensation experience in New York is a plus.
  4. Strong attention to detail.
  5. Strong written and verbal skills.
