Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a seasoned workers' compensation attorney to manage a full caseload from inception through resolution in a collaborative Florida office. You will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and represent clients in hearings, mediations, and depositions with guidance from an experienced litigation team.

Applicants must be active Florida Bar members, have 2+ years of workers' compensation experience, and possess trial experience.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of workers' compensation attorney experience.
  • Trial experience required.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience drafting litigation documents and managing active caseloads.
  • Proficiency with Westlaw.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and case evaluations.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings.
  • Prepare witnesses and clients for litigation proceedings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and the courts.
  • Stay current on developments in Florida workers' compensation law.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
