Job summary

Confidential Employer in Florida is seeking an experienced workers' compensation attorney to manage a busy caseload from inception through resolution. You will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and case evaluations, and represent clients in hearings, mediations, and depositions.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the Florida Bar in good standing with at least 2 years of workers' compensation experience and trial exposure.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of workers' compensation attorney experience.
  • Trial experience required.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and case evaluations.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings.
  • Prepare witnesses and clients for litigation proceedings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and the courts.
  • Stay current on developments in Florida workers' compensation law.
