Job Title: Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney (Remote)

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their thriving legal team. This opportunity allows the successful candidate to work remotely within the state of Florida, offering flexibility while providing expert legal services to clients. The role requires managing a caseload independently, collaborating with senior attorneys, and contributing to effective litigation strategies in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties:

  1. Handle a diverse caseload of Workers' Compensation defense matters from start to finish.
  2. Develop and implement strategic litigation plans with guidance from senior attorneys.
  3. Review and analyze medical records and other documentation critical to case outcomes.
  4. Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  5. Prepare and present clear, concise legal documents and arguments.
  6. Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to deadlines and case objectives.
  7. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and staff to ensure quality client service and case management.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense, though candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.
  2. Strong independent work ethic, with previous virtual work experience being a plus.
  3. Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and effectively.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  5. A proactive attitude, with the ability to anticipate client needs and contribute to team efforts.

Education:

Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Florida Bar is required.

Certifications:

Florida Bar Admission is mandatory for consideration.
