A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney with a J.D. from an ABA-Approved Law School. The ideal candidate will have an active license to practice law in the state of Georgia or be currently awaiting Bar results. Strong writing and speaking skills, outstanding analytical skills, and a passion for workers' comp litigation are essential.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Prepare for and conduct depositions and hearings
- Manage discovery processes, including document review and production
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and internal team members
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy development and implementation
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on workers' compensation-related issues
Requirements:
- J.D. from an ABA-Approved Law School
- Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia, or currently awaiting Bar results
- Strong writing and speaking skills
