Overview

Title: Assistant Vice President

Experience: Federal worker's compensation claims including DBA, Jones Act, USL&H, FELA, and Foreign Voluntary, in accordance with relevant federal laws.

Location: Remote

How you'll make an impact
  1. Lead your own branch with minimal oversight, supervising one or more branch managers in all claim handling functions.
  2. Lead recruiting, hiring efforts, and participate in training branch managers.
  3. Ensure compliance and best practice reporting; maintain technical proficiency across all branches.
  4. Adhere to client service instructions and performance warranties, demonstrating thorough understanding of policies and procedures.
  5. Utilize metric-driven tools like FOCUS, Managers Tool Kit, and Scoreboard to evaluate performance and proactively address issues.
  6. Own and resolve operational issues; set and communicate branch goals.
  7. Engage with clients, Account Management, sales, and other stakeholders to refine understanding of client needs.
  8. Motivate team members to perform at their highest level.
  9. Maintain professional, positive, and proactive communication with clients, carriers, and brokers.
  10. Collaborate effectively with all internal departments.
About You

Required: High school diploma, 15 years of related claim experience, at least 8 years in progressively senior management roles, licensed/certified in all handling states.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

Behaviors: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of reviewing work, coaching, and developing subordinates for advancement.
