Job summary

The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, Workers' Compensation Division, seeks a Reimbursement Specialist to audit workers' compensation applications and authorize reimbursements from the Workers' Benefit Fund. This role requires strong numerical, research, and communication skills and offers telework on a part-time basis after achieving proficiency, with office hours also required.

Qualifications include four years of administrative research experience (two at a higher level),

Qualifications

• Four years of administrative research experience including compiling and evaluating facts to recommend action or ensure compliance.
• Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.

Responsibilities

• Audit applications from insurers and self-insured employers under statute, rule, and bulletin requirements.
• Determine validity and accuracy of payment calculations and authorize reimbursements.
• Provide written and verbal guidance to insurance industry personnel, employers, injured workers, attorneys, and other interested parties.
