Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to become proficient in applicable databases, systems, and vendor software programs.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom training on workers' compensation claims handling strategies, medical terminology, statutory requirements, and investigative skills.
• Conduct initial investigations of reported claims to determine coverage, compensability, severity, and gather relevant information via three-point contact calls.
• Calculate appropriate reserves for each claim and adjust reserves as needed per guidelines.
• Develop and update a Plan of Action for successful resolution of each claim.
• Make prompt, sound decisions on issues with escalation as needed per guidance and law.
