Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Coordinator to schedule WC appointments, coordinate referrals, and secure pre‑authorizations. You will work with payers, employers and patients to streamline access to treatment.

This role requires strong communication, meticulous data entry in Athena and Salesforce, and collaboration across offices to maintain compliant workflows. Competitive hourly pay plus benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in public health, business, hospitality, or related field.
• Experience with patient scheduling and call centers.
• Experience with Workers’ Compensation workflows and payer contacts.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Workers’ Compensation appointments with CityMD or external referrals.
• Obtain initial authorizations and pre-authorizations for treatment orders.
• Build and register patient charts in Athena; ensure comp policy accuracy.
• Verify intake forms before visits and update records as needed.
• Communicate with patients and payers by phone and email professionally.
• Conduct outbound calls to employers and nurse case managers regarding referrals.
• Manage inbound inquiries from employers, adjusters, and patients.
• Review cancelled appointments and coordinate rescheduling.
• Collaborate with Summit Health offices on centralized WC workflows.
• Use Salesforce and Referwell to track referrals and appointments.
