National Interstate Insurance Company is seeking a CA Senior Workers Comp Claims Specialist to join the team. The role offers hybrid work from Richfield, OH four days a week, or full remote work from the USA, with on-site four days and one remote day.

Core in-office days are Tue–Thu, with one additional day per business needs. The candidate will manage a large inventory of complex claims, lead investigations, and negotiate settlements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 13 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling.
• Professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC) preferred.

National Interstate is looking for a CA Senior Workers Comp Claims Specialist to join their team. This individual will either work hybrid from the Richfield, OH office 4 days per week or work fully remote from the USA, if not local to the office . To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in office days are Tuesday-Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

• Manages a large inventory of highly complex claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Strategically orchestrates and leads comprehensive claims investigations to confirm coverage and to determine liability, compensability and damages.
• Analyzes and negotiates appropriate claim settlements/reserves within prescribed authority. Maintains accurate and detailed claim files, including all correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.
• May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Generally, a minimum of 13 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures. Advanced ability to organize and prioritize caseloads, ensuring timely resolution of claims.
