Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical office and surgical billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NH State Workers’ Compensation process and terminology preferred.
• Strong typing, computer, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily claims worklists to ensure proper processing and reimbursement.
• Review EOBs for accuracy in payment posting and denials.
• Follow up on claims per NH labor laws, including appeals when necessary.
• Process notices of claim denials and bill services to patient’s private insurance.
• Use payer websites and contact adjusters for denials/status clarifications.
• Handle inbound calls for patients, insurers, and referring offices.
• Participate in monthly Business Office team meetings.
• Provide cross-coverage support for other business office functions.
